Swales insists RCA must be at their very best to win away at Consett

Sunderland RCA manager Martin Swales believes that his side will have to be at their best to continue their upturn in form with a win at Consett.

RCA have recovered from a six-game losing streak to record convincing backto-back home wins against North all er ton Town and Guisboroug­h Town over the last week.

They will look to make it three win son the spin at Belle View on Saturday against a Consett side that have been heavily tipped to challenge for promotion this season.

Swales praised his squad for their recent improvemen t–but stressed that they will have to be even better if they are to get a result against the Steelmen.

He told The Echo: “I think the improvemen­t is down to having the same eleven in those last two games and we have won quite convincing­ly in those.

“Saturday is a really tough game against a very strong Consett side that play a bit of a strange formation.

“We will have to adapt to that a little bit, but I am confident that we can adjust to that.

“They have a great squad and we know we have to be at our best to get another win.”

S wales confirmed that Jonny Carr and Mark Davison are back available, and he is hopeful of adding two new signings to the squad ahead of the game.
