Foodhub taste test offer on a plate for ten lucky students

Lucky students across the country are in for a tasty treat with among the best mouth-watering jobs in the UK on offer. Students could win a years’ supply of free food through takeaway app Foodhub.

As students across the country begin a different version of university life with the new normal being life in lockdown, online food portal Foodhub is offering students the chance to bag a years’ free food worth more than a fantastic £750.

Students from a total of ten regions across the country will be able to apply for the tastiest job in the UK.

The eat for a job offer is their appointmen­t of chief student taste testers for Foodhub.

And it will win them the chance to taste offerings from takeaways and food outlets in their area ... absolutely free!

The job is available for hungry and lucky study students in Birmingham, Cardiff, Chester, Hull, Leeds, Leicester, Liverpool, Manchester, Nottingham and

Stoke.

To apply for the dream taste testing job, students from the ten universiti­es across the regions mentioned above simply have to visit the Foodhub website.

Once logged in they either show or tell Foodhub why they have the best tastebuds for the job.

Students feeling particular­ly adventurou­s can upload a video of themselves and they can then explain why they should be chosen for the best post on their campus.

The winning student will be chosen by a panel of food experts and will then be expected to write reviews of the local takeaways that they visit – getting their weekly supply of free grub from their favourite local eateries.

To be eligible for entry to this taste sensation offer, students simply need to use their university email address when submitting their job applicatio­n.

Wil Chung, Foodhub spokespers­on, said: “We know that this semester won’t be as fun as previous years so we want to offer students the chance to bag the best job at Uni.

“We want to ensure we have the tastiest, best takeaways across the region on our app and know that students are connoisseu­rs of takeaway food when they first leave home so we couldn’t think of a better person to join our team.

“If you’re at university in these specific regions then we want to hear from you, simply tell us – in words or video – why you are the best person to take on the takeaway tasting challenge. In return, that person won’t need to buy a takeaway meal for a whole year!”

All runners up who aren’t chosen for the taste testing job will receive a 25 per cent discount code off their next takeaway from Foodhub.

Foodhub is an online food portal launched in 2017. There are more than 15,000 takeaway and restaurant partners featured online at www.foodhub.co.uk and through the apps available for iOS and Android.

Foodhub is unique in that it does not take a commission from the food establishm­ents for each order placed. This enables them to offer better prices and deals to customers than other online food platforms.
