Carol Anne Giles: My Grandfathe­r also lied bout his age joined the Royal Inniskilli­n Fuisiliers in first world war was sent to Salonika he was shot and cos he was injured they sent him home then when he was 18 he went and signed up again! When he died in 1973 he still had shrapnel in his body.

Liz Ruddock: My granddad did the same he lived to fight in ww2 and survived that too.
