These are last postal dates for your Christmas cards and gifts

People who send Christmas cards and gifts through the post are reminded to check collection dates, which may vary between service providers.

Royal Mail and Parcelforc­e Worldwide have released their last posting dates for Christmas 2020.

If you’re using Royal Mail, this is what you need to know for UK posting.

The final date for posting second class and Second Class Signed For mail is December 18.

For First Class, First Class Signed For mail and Royal Mail Tracked 48 mail it’s December 21.

For Royal Mail Tracked 24 mail it’s December 22.

For Special Delivery Guaranteed packages it’s December 23.

It must be noted that you cannot buy Royal Mail Tracked 24 and Royal Mail

Tracked 48 services at Post Office branches.

Royal Mail’s final Christmas postings abroad are ...

For Internatio­nal Standard and Internatio­nal tracking and signature service the last posting dates for Africa, Asia, Caribbean, Central and South America, Far and Middle East, is December 9.

For Cypress and Malta, it is December 10.

For last posting to Australia, Greece, Eastern Europe (except Czech Republic, Poland and Slovakia), New Zealand and Turkey it’s December 11.

Last posting to Canada, Czech Republic, Finland, Italy, Poland, Sweden and the USA is December 12.

Last posting to Austria, Denmark, Germany, Iceland, Netherland­s, Norway, Portugal, Slovakia, Spain and Switzerlan­d, is December 16.

For Belgium, France, Ireland, Luxembourg, it is December 18.

The last posting date for Parcelforc­e Worldwide’s Next Day UK services express10, expressAM and express24 is December 23.

However, for Parcelforc­e’s two-day UK services, named express48 and express48l­arge, latest posting date is December 22.

For customers who wish to post abroad to Western Europe, the USA and Canada using the firm’s globalexpr­ess service, parcels must be sent by December 18.

Those posting to Eastern Europe and the rest of the world using the globalexpr­ess service must do so between December 4 and 18.

Parcels going to the Republic of Ireland via the irelandexp­ress service should be sent by December 17.
