Here are their eight tea types ...

One of those people with very strong opinions that you absolutely love to share with anyone and everyone.

Builder’s brew

The classic British brew. You’re a classic salt of the earth type – dependable and cool-headed. You’re actually pickier about your tea than anyone else on this scale.

Perfectly balanced

The ultimate goal: the perfect brew. You’re highly confident, and know exactly what you like and how to go about getting it.

Bit beige

Not to insult you, but there’s not a lot about you as a person. You’ll watch exactly one episode of your latest boxset and be in bed by 9pm.

Slapdash

You’re a bit haphazard – you probably didn’t leave this to stew anywhere near long enough.

Vanilla wafer

You may not be the sharpest spoon in the tea drawer, but you know what you like – and what you like is a cup of tea with only a passing familiarity with a tea bag.

Milky water

You just want to drink milk. Good for your calcium, but let’s not pretend this is a cup of tea. Don’t be this person!

According to Google Search Trends data, the search term ‘how to make a perfect cup of tea’ has seen a 250% growth in the last year… perhaps all that extra time at home has made us want to perfect our cuppa!

The findings show that as a nation we are making our tea breaks an occasion, opting for afternoon tea deliveries.
