L ive r p o o l w i l l f ac e M a nchester United’s Champions League conquerors RB Leipzig in the last 16 next year.

Jurgen Klopp’s side, who topped Group D in Europe’s premier club competition, will take on the German outfit who beat United 3-2 last week to claim a place in the knockout stage.

Manchester City will also face Bundesliga opposition in the shape of Borussia M o n c h e n g l ad bac h , wh i l e the Premier League’s other remaining representatives, Chelsea, will take on Atletico Madrid.

The tie of the round is arguably Barcelona v Paris St Germain. The French side were finalists last season but will have bad memories of facing Barca in 2017, when their 4-0 first-leg lead was overturned in a dramatic 6-1 defeat at the Nou Camp.

Holders Bayern Munich will take on Italian side Lazio, while Cristiano Ronaldo returns to his native Portugal with Juventus to take on Porto.

Europa League holders Sevilla are up against Borussia Dortmund, while 13-times winners Real Madrid take on Atalanta, who reached the quarter-finals last season.

Guardiola failed to beat Gladbach in any of his last four Bundesliga meetings with them during his time as Bayern Munich coach, having won both encounters in his opening season in Bavaria in 2013-14.

However, he fared better when City faced Borussia in the group stage in 2016-17, his first year at the club, beating them 4-0 at the Etihad and drawing 1-1 in Germany.

L ive r p o o l h ave n e ve r faced Leipzig in a competitive match before, whereas Chelsea have faced Atleti seven times since 2009.

Meanwhile, Manchester United will face LaLiga lead

ers Real Sociedad in the final 32 of the Europa League, while Tottenham must play Wolfsberger.

Ole Gu nner Solskjaer’s United side dropped into the competition after they were knocked out of the Champions League last week.

United will travel to Sociedad for the first leg on February 18 with the LaLiga side heading to Old Trafford

a week later.

Sociedad are currently top of LaLiga on goal difference, although they have played two more games than Atletico Madrid.

They have lost just twice in all competitions this season but have drawn their last six matches.

Jose Mourinho’s Tottenham, the Pre mier League leaders, go to Wolfsberger in

Austria for their first leg.

Wolfsberger beat Feyenoord twice and also won at CSKA Moscow in Group K.

L e i c e s t e r go t o S l av i a Prague for their first-leg tie having won Group G with the Czech Republic outfit having come second in Group C.

Arsenal, the Group B winners, will play Benfica, who finished behind Rangers in Group D.

S t e v e n G e r r a r d ’s s i d e have been paired with Royal Antwerp of the Belgian Pro League.

Other ties include Salzbu rg v V i l l a r rea l , Bra ga v Roma, Olympiacos v PSV, Granada v Napoli and Red Star v AC Milan. The first legs will be played on February 18 with the second legs a week later and the draw for the final 16 will be held on February 26.
