STORY:

More of your comments regarding the use of the military to support mass testing in schools.

Emma L. Jones: If you look at the government graph the virus slowed right down while kids were not at school but then September comes when all kids and colleges went back that's when it shot back up again. Does that not tell the government something?

Graeme Collinson: Stop them hanging around together would be a good start, we’re supposed to be in tier 3. I was in town the other day watching about 10 kids plus, hanging around doing what kids do, police car drove past looked at them and drove on!What chance have the rest of us got when this is happening all over all the time?

Angela Clark: They should have said that all kids go back Monday 11th. Over two weeks since the Christmas day arrangements.

Chris Parry: Just what they need. Remote support. And how often are they going to do it? Another knee jerk solution.

Lyndsey Maddison:

Doesnt make sense sending some back from the 4th. I’m nervous sending my 5 yr old back Monday when his bubble (around 20 kids) will have been mixing with others over xmas and I’m high risk x

Catherine Gatt: Lyndsey Maddison, same. Except my daughter’s bubble is around 250 as ages at senior school so the whole year group is one bubble. It’s very worrying isn’t it?

Amy Mckie: They’ve said secondary are staying off, haven’t they?

George Collinson:

Does testing stop them catching it like? Any thing to waste money.

Geoff Robson: Kids have more chance been harmed going to school. As for vaccines certainly wud not av let mine have this one.

Sam Quentin:

Throughout this pandemic the armed forces have stepped up, and gone above and beyond what is ‘their job’. I would love, even just for one day, for them to get even half the recognition the NHS has done. Thank you to our armed forces and all the things you have done for us this year!
