Why I voted for Boris

-

I read the letter in the Echo from Ged Taylor asking for people to come forward who voted for Boris and answer why?

I voted for Boris and I’m pleased I did, after all an election is my prerogative to choose who I want and as a democracy we stand by the outcome of the vote whether we like it or not.

I was brought up by a strong Labour voting family who still pay their dues to their party and I have questioned exactly what has Labour done for me?

I cant really find much to shout about but, after listening and looking hard into things there was no way on this earth I could have voted for Jeremy Corbyn hence Corbyn was a big reason why I voted for Boris.

I am very proud to be British and I have a huge respect for our Queen and all members of our Royal Family. How the heck could Corbyn possibly have worked with the Queen?

On the same note I’m not keen on Sir Kier Starmer.

I voted leave and Boris was the only one who was positive that he would carry through my Brexit wishes, this also made me vote Conservative.

To date what I have seen of Sir Kier has proved to me he is so very flippant; one week he wants a tier system, then when it comes in he doesn’t approve!

He wants a lockdown yet he doesn’t want a lockdown, sadly he’s one of many that will disagree and vote against anything the government passes because he isn’t in power to do it. Many of us voted to leave the EU and even with a no deal I would have been happy to do so.

We've had enough of the EU dictating their rules that we have to abide by.

Those mainly bothered about a no deal was the EU - as they would take a hit at us leaving - and the people who voted remain, of course. Recently when Boris said he’d do a deal with WTO he was positive; he is a very shrewd man.

During this terrible worldwide pandemic which in fairness no government knew what to do about, he’s secured the most vaccines and the first vaccines administered.

Well done Boris. Could Starmer have done this?
