Are you sending you child back to class as normal if and when their school reopens?

Gemma Angel: I have one in secondary which is closed for him anyways. I also have one in primary, his school is open but l am keeping him off. My son was sitting in a class bitterly cold, and even the teachers seem to have lost their oomph, which is totally understandable. and l do not trust much of what the gov is saying how safe it is. My son is not an experiment and until l see numbers dropping, then he won’t be going in and l will do the upmost best l can to try and teach him things, l’m no teacher but l would rather try to teach a healthy child rather than look at my son in a hospital bed Or worse.

Allison Foster: Unless every parent is going to stay at home and not go into shops etc then they may as well go to school. Parents have a far greater risk of catching it if they still go out.

Tessa Marshall: Nope I’m keeping mine off, They can log on to Google classroom to do school work, we can go for a walk for exercise, they don't come shopping with me.

Victoria EskdaleRidley:

Our Son's primary school in Newcastle is open today, they have had no cases of covid since it opened in September. However, I have kept my Son off. I can't be certain he is not going to pick it up after the festive period and both myself and my husband have to work. We rely on Grandparents for childcare and I'm not prepared to put them at risk, especially if a full national lockdown imminent.

Karli McGinnis: If your not sending your kids to school then you need to stay home too. Pointless keeping them off to protect them but taking them shopping or leaving them home while you mix and go home to them.

Brian Goodman:

My daughter is going back for the first few days today and if she is still complaining about sitting in a freezing classroom like she did last term she will be staying off. I fully understand about the need for ventilation but sitting in a classroom freezing for 6 hours a day is just not good for anybody's health.

Donna Watson: I will send my son in, but I'm very reluctant to.

Michael Jones: My child would be going back as there have been zero children with no underlying health concerns who have died from COVID. What will effect her is a lack of education preventing her from getting into uni or a good job in the future. Think people think
