Key to home learning?

-

I have watched with interest over the last few months, the situation regarding pupils learning from home and the fact that there are large numbers of pupils out there without the means to do their lessons etc on-line.

Manufacturers of computer equipment and peripherals are always bringing out new models by the thousands and it occurs to me that contact could be made for the slightly outdated equipment could be donated to the local education authorities and similar bodies for distribution to those pupils etc., that could benefit.

I know that a lot of outdated kit appears on a number of websites for massively discounted prices - surely it would be a great marketing tool for one of the leaders in the field (possibly Apple) to make their outmoded models available

for a small fee or better still free.

There is also the area of the elderly who have not had the benefit of an electronic device of some kind for them to continue with learning or staying in communication.

Perhaps some local charity could front a supply a computer/tablet etc to help your local school/ college whatever.
