A new scheme is being launched to encourage people to set aside an hour a week to improve their skills and job prospects.

The Government, employers and educationa­l institutio­ns have joined forces to encourage people to use online learning through a free course from The Skills Toolkit.

More than 70 courses are on offer, aimed at developing digital and other skills employers are looking for such as practical maths.
