The following cases from the Sunderland area were heard recently at South Tyneside Magistrate­s’ Court.

£80 fine

Aaron George Ebanks, 30, whose address was listed as the Grand Hotel, Seaburn, Sunderland, was fined £80. He admitted breaching supervisio­n requiremen­ts following his release from custody.

Suspended sentence

Ian Manson, 42, of Grosvenor Street, Southwick, Sunderland, received a four-month jail term, which was suspended for 18 months.

He pleaded guilty to unlawfully possessing a bladed article, namely a lock knife, in Church Street on November 13.

Stolen goods

Jackson Bainbridge, 19, of Kirkston Avenue, Peterlee, admitted dishonestl­y receiving stolen goods, namely a quad bike, on January 8 last year.

He received an eightweek prison sentence, which was suspended for 12 months.

Driver banned

Palwinder Singh, 39, of Bradwell Way, Washington, was banned from driving for 27 months and ordered to pay a £307 fine, £34 victim surcharge and £85 prosecutio­n costs.

Singh admitted driving while disqualifi­ed and without insurance on October 10.

Unpaid work

Mark Anthony Wright, 47, of Grafton Street, Millfield, Sunderland, was ordered to complete 20 hours of unpaid work as part of a community order.

He admitted breaching the requiremen­ts of a previous community order by failing to keep appointmen­ts.

Order breached

Matthew Jordan Bellamy, 25, of Kenilworth Court, Washington, admitted one count of breaching a community order on October 16 by failing to keep telephone appointmen­ts.

He was fined £20.

Criminal damage

Tyrone Richardson, 33, of Hudson Road, Hendon, was ordered to pay £600 compensati­on and an £80 fine.

He admitted breaching supervisio­n requiremen­ts on November 5, criminal damage on November 15 and assault and criminal damage on November 16.
