Brenda is the new voice of tenants

-

An award-winning tenant has been appointed to the board of Sunderland housing firm Gentoo. Brenda Naisby’s new position aims to ensure the views of tenants are at the forefront of the group’s decision-making.

Brenda has been been actively involved with Gentoo for more than five years, most recently as chair of one its Community Engagement Forum in Washington.

Brenda was named as UK tenant of the year by housing charity, TPAS, for the influential role she played in helping other residents in her community suffering domestic abuse. The appointment comes as tenant board member Les Herbert comes to the end of his nine-year term.
