Expansion plan for Sunningdale

Council bosses in Sunderland are applying to increase the number of pupils at a specialist primary school in the city.

The council has served notice under the terms of the Education and Inspections, it intends to Increase the number of pupils at Sunningdale Primary School, in Shaftoe Road, from 108 places to 120 from September next year.

Sunning dale is the city’ s only specialist primary school for children with profound learning needs.
