Rob aims to help drive region's digital growth

A director at software solutions firm Saggezza has joined an influentia­l board that is leading the developmen­t of the North East tech sector.

Rob Gwyther, who joined the Sunderland-based firm in July, has been appointed to the board of Dynamo, a collective that sims to drive the growth of digital in the region.

Rob, who has worked in senior IT and technology roles for more than 15 years, hopes to be able to bring a new perspectiv­e to the board, sharing the goals and challenges of the Sunderland-based firm.

He said: “My background in consulting, working with a broad range of clients, means I can bring a different perspectiv­e to the board and I am really excited to be able to represent such an innovative, agile business that I know can be a real driving force in the growth of the North East tech sector."

He added: “Dynamo is a real force for good, with many of the organisati­ons we work with represente­d on it. It’s fantastic to be able to support the developmen­t of this vital sector in the North East with a group of people and organisati­ons that are so passionate about the same collective ambition.”

His appointmen­t to the Dynamo board will see him work alongside leading industry lights including chair Charlie Hoult, and members from a range of organisati­ons including Ubisoft, Nomad Digital and the University of Sunderland.

Saggezza has offices in the UK, America and India, and a client list that includes an internatio­nal investment bank and a global credit card provider.

The firm is recruiting a range of roles, including java developers, software developers and full stack software engineers, in Sunderland.
