127 new C-19 infections confirmed by NHS Trust

More than 100 more cases of covid have been recorded in Sunderland.

NHS England confirmed yesterday, that a further 563 people, who tested positive for the coronaviru­s (Covid-19) have died, bringing the total number of confirmed reported deaths in hospitals in England to 71,789.

Patients were aged between 24 and 99 years old. All except 29 (aged 34 to 97 years old) had known underlying health conditions.

Deaths are recorded as Covid-19 related where a person has died within 28 days of a positive test.

Across the UK yesterday it was announced that 23,275 more people have tested positive for Coronaviru­s, bringing the total since the start of the pandemic to 3,796,088.
