Papa John’s semi-final draw will take place live on Sky TV tonight

Sunderland will discover their Papa John’s Trophy semi-final opponents tonight, with the EFL unveiling plans for a ‘Wembley Weekender’ for the final.

Sunderland reached the last four thanks to a convincing 3-0 win over MK Dons on Tuesday, and join Oxford United, Tranmere Rovers and Lincoln City in the draw.

The EFL has also confirmed plans for a unique finals weekend, with the final of last season’s competition – between Portsmouth and Salford City – still to take place.

Both finals will take place over the weekend of March 13 and 14.

Portsmouth face Salford on the Saturday, with this year’s final on the Sunday, both at Wembley, both with a 3pm kick-off – and on Sky Sports.

The semi-final draw is at 7.45pm, with ties played on Tuesday 16 and Wednesday 17 February (6pm KO), live on Sky Sports.
