Do you think we should remain in lockdown, or is it time to start easing?

Kati Anne: Sorry but the amount of traffic on roads like A1 during work commutes are nothing like the first lockdown. Been so many rules changes folk don't care so do as they please, even first lockdown was a joke to some and wasn't as harsh as elsewhere.

Eric Treglown: Can’t understand why this is even a debate. Why wouldn’t we wait until the new cases go down, and the covid hospital admissions go down. Finally seem to be on the other side of the peak, vaccinations flying out, why not just wait that bit longer and do it right?

Kathleen Mcallister: Stay in lockdown for at least another 6 weeks then see how the country is and if necessary extend it. We have to be sure it's not good going from lockdown to lockdown

Dorothy Clark: Needs to stay in place until numbers come right down and vaccines are rolling on too soo and we'll be back to square 1, get it right this time

Susan Moor: Sadly we need to stay in lockdown as people are still dying and numbers are not going down.

Debbie Quinn: No, definitely not have we not learned anything from the last 2 lockdowns opening things up again caused the second spike , or was it the third spike, I've lost count anyway, lockdown should remain in place with the additional measure of stopping all non essential air travel in and out of the country, they should open all vaccination centres as 24hours until we have all been vaccinated fully,

Graham Donkin:

Sunderland remains the same despite lockdown. Cases are on the rise again, if anything discussing lifting of restrictions is very very premature.…

Vivien Downs: I'd be interested to know what jobs, if any, people do who are crying out for lockdown to continue? I'm sick of sacrificing living for a life.

Audrey Brand:

No , this lockdown is a drain on everyone’s well being , we are sick and tired of the whole thing now !

Rob Usher: Keep lockdown in place, obviously! Why is this even being questioned?
