STORY:

No holidays until “everybody” gets covid jab warns the Transport Secretary.

Marie Pentland: You cannot force some people to have this vaccine. That is their choice. But to say none can go abroad until everyone is vaccinated is wrong. I have had my covid vaccine, my choice but I respect others if they choose not to have it.

Rachael Old: Most countries won’t let the uk in atm because our rates are very high with or without jab.

Che Thornton:

Unfortunately, if your destination country insist on it then you will not be able to go if you don't have it.

Susan Moor:

I understand people saying about it's their choice to have the vaccine or not but people are still dying and will die for many more months and if certain restrictions are upon us to stop deaths then we need to seriously consider them. If you could see a killer walking up to you, your family, your loved ones and your friends would you not try and take action to stop them from being harmed? Just because we can't see this killer doesn't mean it's not there.

Gareth Stokoe:

The vaccine won't stop you getting covid you still need to distance, wear mask, isolate, everything they said from day one. So if the vaccine don't stop anything or you still need to wear a mask what is the point in getting it?

Trace Mcallister: I'm missing the point here, border have been open from day one of this pandemic for people to come into the country. But if we don't have the jab we can't leave. Might as well put metal bars round.

Rich Outterson:

What about people who cannot have the vaccine for medical conditions or who travel as part of their job and wouldn't want to take the vaccine?

Stephen F Lounton: Why would you even consider going on holiday during a pandemic? It's beyond me.

Sonia Dawson: I don't want the vaccine owing to the fact that I have never been ill in my entire life, why is this being forced on people? I don't drink, don't smoke, but love my holidays yet I won't be able to go. I am so sick of the covid rules but this news really is soul destroying to me.
