Later… with Jools Holland returns to BBC Two tonight – the first of two new six-part series to air over the coming months, keeping viewers supplied with live musical performances as challenging times continue. In this first episode, filmed at Jools’ South London recording studio - he welcomes a very special guest, who will talk him through their own musical journey, illustrated by classic clips from the extensive Later… archive.

The White Crow

In 1961, young Russian ballet dancer Rudolf Nureyev arrives in Paris to perform with the Kirov Ballet. Nureyev immediately falls in love with the city, but his KGB minders become increasingly suspicious of his behaviour and his developing friendship with young Chilean heiress Clara Saint.
