Fans happy with win and Kyril watching on

-

Sunderland fans have reacted with delight as Kyril Louis-Dreyfus watched Charlie Wyke net a first-half hat-trick against Doncaster Rovers.

The incoming Sunderland owner made a brief appearance pitchside ahead of the game to take in the surroundings at the Stadium of Light having emerged from the tunnel.

He has spent time on Wearside this week at the Academy of Light and the Stadium of Light and watched Wyke score a hat-trick in the first half against Doncaster Rovers.

And fans were delighted to see him in the stands for the League One game. Here’s some of the best fan reaction from social media:

Alex McCain @AM_ SAFC197: “Kyril there in the stands considering whether he wants Messi or Ronaldo to warm the bench for Wyke.”

Spencer Davison @SAFCSpencer tweeted: “Much better showing this time.”

RyanC98 @RyanC2408 tweeted: “My owner!”

RobbieSafc @robbie_ safc tweeted: "Learned that Charlie wyke is GOAT”

Jamie Collin @coldfoot80 tweeted: “New billionaire owner, salary cap lifted and Charlie Wyke turns into lewandowski #SAFC”

Louis-Dreyfus also attended the Shrewsbury Town defeat in midweek.

The Echo approached the EFL for comment about the process but they have again declined, they do not usually comment on ongoing takeover deals.

Sunderland are waiting for final approval from the EFL, which once granted will see Stewart Donald sell a majority of his shares to LouisDreyfus.
