Children get crafty at half-term
Primary school children in County Durham are being offered the chance to take part in creative activities this half-term.
Durham County Record Office is offering free online workshops giving children the chance to uncover some of its treasured collections.
The project will highlight what the archives reveal about everyday life in the county’s past.
It features a Weardale girl’s diary about her pets and a list of children christened in Tudor times and children can also get involved with a craft activity based on a story of a giant snake in Durham.
The workshops are being held tomorrow at 2pm and Friday at 10am.
The online sessions are free, but must be booked in advance by emailing record.office@durham.gov. uk
