Eight more patients sadly die from virus
A further 92 Covid-19 cases have been confirmed across Wearside as eight patients sadly die at South Tyneside andSunderlandNHSFoundation Trust after testing positive for the illness.
NHS England confirmed yesterday that a further 522 people, who tested positive for the coronavirus have died, bringing the total number of confirmed reported deaths in hospitalsinEnglandto80,115.
Patients were aged between 24 and 103 years old. All except 20 (aged 33 to 91 years old) had known underlying health conditions.
Deaths are recorded as Covid-19 related where a person has died within 28 days of a positive test.
Across the UK yesterday it was announced that 12,718 more people have tested positive for coronavirus, bringing the total since the start of the pandemic to 4,071,185.
