Your support can make huge difference

-

It will come as no surprise to learn that Covid-19 has been particularly hard on some of the most vulnerable children in our community.

More have found themselves in refuges, hospitals, homeless and special needs units and facing the tough challenges they bring .

While the professionals work their socks off to get these kids through those challenges, the public can play a part in lifting their spirits.

It may seem like a small gesture to donate an Easter egg to charity, the effect it can have on the children receiving the gift is greater than you think.

Not only does it bring a chocolate smile to the faces of the children, it also lets them know their community is behind them.

Which is why we’re calling on Echo readers to give generously in what Viv Watts, chief executive of the Hope 4 Kidz, calls a ‘difficult’ year.

As she tells us today: "This year has been difficult for everyone and your support at Easter will make a huge difference for those less fortunate families, children with special needs, in extreme circumstances or in poverty because of the pandemic.

"We are asking businesses, customers, friends and family for their generosity by buying an Easter egg to be donated to the charity.

“There are so many children who may not receive an egg at Easter. Together, we can change that.”

It’s a relatively small ask, but your answer can make a big difference in the lives of our community’s most vulnerable kids. Please give generously.
