STORY:

Prime Minister Boris Johnson has revealed that pub landlords could be allowed to require customers to provide proof they are vaccinated against coronavirus.

Elizabeth Price: I'm truly baffled so here it goes. The vaccine doesn't stop you catching or spreading covid it gives you a better chance of not getting it so bad. So me included who has had the vaccine can enter the pubs but those without can't but I've still got the possibility of spreading it.

Lawrence Jones: It does stop you catching and spreading by 68% plus yes you might still get it but much more difficult the more people who get the vaccine.

Christine Stephen:

It doesn't stop you catching it. I know somebody whose had vaccine and currently has covid now, although there symptoms are very mild x

Dan Ward:

Yes. Sure there'll be some pubs who won't do it, so let the tinfoilers congregate there and the rest of us will know where to avoid.

Ken Phillips: Only affects people actually who like going to the pub. Seems strange, they have been closed that long, you forget they exist, so won't be rushing back.

Ranee Mellett: Yeah nice for those lucky enough to be offered the vaccine, what about all younger people a lot of them key workers who’ve kept the country going over the last year, not right at all.

Lynne Veitch: Totally agree. Only a viable option when everyone has been offered the vaccine.

Lindsay Rochester: So only those over age of 50, vulnerable, care workers etc can go to the pub? When will the vaccination be rolled out to the younger generation? Those who are generally fit and well.

Chris Nicholson: Fine by me, anything that cuts down the risk of a third spike. Yes I've had mine so I'm biased but soon everyone will be offered the vaccination so shouldn't be a problem.

Emily Hendry Natton:

If this is the case i think it is shocking people should have freedom of choice, will this apply to gyms as well, we are going to end up like north korea.
