Sunderland’s season-cards go on sale for 2021-22 term

-

Sunderland have put season cards for the 2021/22 campaign on sale to supporters.

The club announced last week that fans would be facing a modest increase on prices from previous campaigns, with adult tickets starting at £340.

Sunderland have confirmed that they will offer a pro-rata refund should any supporter be affected by games forced behindclosed-doors or with a reduced capacity as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The club have also announced that they will support the #SunderlandTogether initiative by donating £1 from every season card sold to the campaign, which supports four local charities.

Sunderland fans raised over £170,000 for the campaign by buying a 'virtual ticket' for the Papa John's Trophy final last month.

All supporters must take action to secure their seat for next season, as there is no auto-renewal function.

The early-bird pricing scheme will be available until Tuesday April 13th.

COO Steve Davison last week said: "We did take a fresh look at it and we've got a view that over a three-year period we ought to be approaching something around average Championship pricing, assuming we are in that division.

"That's what we'll be aiming for over three years.

"Broadly that will mean a 10% increase for next season. When you compare that to other clubs, that will be the eighth highest price in League One, and the 17th in the Championship.

"So it will be well below the average and it would also be the lowest price we've had in the Championship."
