Roll up, roll up as the circus heads to arena
Sword swallowers, jugglers, aerialists and more will be among the first to perform as shows return to Rainton Arena.
Britain’s Got Talent semifinalists, Circus of Horrors, have announced they will perform at the arena in Houghton on May 22, 2021.
It will be one of the first performances on Wearside, with live venues allowed to reopen their doors from May
17, and it’s set to be a spectacular return to theatre.
Covid compliant measures will be in place at the arena as it hosts live performances once more.
Circus of Horrors started as a performance at Glastonbury in 1995 and is still going strong with its weird and wonderful performance art.
The new ReBorn, ReVamped & Rockin show will be a celebration of its history and will include an amalgamation of acts, driven by a rock 'n' roll soundscape.
Among the acts will be sword swallowers, aerialists hanging from their hair and teeth whilst suspended above the auditorium, jugglers, acrobats, hula ho op ers, human pin cushions and more.
