STORY:

Dog-friendly shop welcomes customers’ four-legged friends to avoid fear of dog theft.

Christy Wright: More shops should do this!! I always end up carrying my dog if I need to pop into a shop and I have him with me, such a struggle juggling a 15kg dog and an armful of shopping.

Deborah Foster: Well that’s great to know.

Quite often out for a walk and have to take mine home and come back out.

Terri Sathees-Kumar: We've always allowed dogs in our shops for years, yes we have had a few accidents but rather that than have someone pinching someone's baby.

Margaret Forster: They seem like a lovely couple. Well done for letting dogs in their shop.

Alison Greaves: They are a lovely couple, let my dog Ralph come into their shop even though I was waiting outside with him while my husband was shopping inside, lovely gesture from them both.

Diane Ford: What a lovely couple, if I lived a bit nearer I'd use them loads!

Alison Naylor: Employ someone to stand outside with your dog while you shop, a human dog post. Creates a job, some dogs can't be carried due to size. And there's no health and safety issues.

Deb Cook: I am scared to take mine out now. I hope more places do this as long as we are cleaning up after them.

Michelle Smith: We allow dogs in our shops, I wouldn't leave mine outside so don't expect anyone else to.

Andrea Christina: Lovely couple I have taken my lab Gertie in a few times and she is treated like a princess, great idea.

Rachel Muldown: This is amazing, more shops should offer this service.

Eva Brewster: Well done you. Definitely not safe to leave dogs outside anywhere now.

Linda Flood: Well done for been dog friendly. Would never leave our dog outside a shop.

Susan Pike: Need more shops like this, a great move.
