Herrington Country Park is set to host an open air Adventure Cinema with two popular sing-a-long films in June.

Adventure Cinema tours the country, bringing popular films to outdoor areas – with the Sunderland park set to host the event on Saturday, June 5, and Sunday, June 6.

Audiences will be able to view The Greatest Showman sing-a-long on the Saturday, and musical classic Grease sing-a-long on the Sunday.

Both showings are set to begin at 10pm and tickets are now available to purchase – with under 16s also permitted to attend.

Standard adult tickets cost £14.50 each and users must bring their own blanket or deck chair to sit on, with a standard under 16s ticket costing £9.50.

VIP packages, which give a luxury deck chair in a prime position, can also be purchased for both showings and are priced at £20.50 for both adults and under 16s.

Family tickets (covering two adults and two under 16s) are on sale and are priced at £48 each. Stewards will be on hand at Herrington Country Park to ensure that social distancing measures are being followed and help set up viewing areas with two metres distance from other parties.

Event organisers have confirmed that hot food and snacks will be available to purchase on the night, along with an on-site bar however people are recommended to bring cash as not all vendors can accept card payments.

Anyone attending the event can also bring along their own picnic, however no glass is permitted.
