Walk among dinosaurs as Jurassic era reigns again!

-

Dinosaurs are about to take over our outdoor spaces, roaming free in Jurassic Parks across Britain.

This will all come about as Jurassic Encounter, a spectacular, family-friendly event, makes its UK debut, touring the cities of London, Birmingham, Glasgow and Leeds from July 24 until November 7 this year.

Each of the cities will play host to prehistoric playgrounds, featuring more than 50 animatronic dinosaur scenes, including a fearsome, 18 metres tall T-Rex that breathes and sways its tail as it hunts mercilessly for prey.

Watch an Iguanodon’s furious battle against a Deinonychus, or Pterosaurs that screech as they soar through the trees.

See a 15 metres tall Brachiosaurus, zealously guarding her eggs, and a 16 metres long Diplodocus, who wails and cries out alarmingly to passers-by.

Step back in time to the era when dinosaurs roamed the earth freely.

As you explore the park, beware the hidden dinosaurs at every twist and turn along the route.

They will be lurking in the bushes, grazing in the tree tops and towering menacingly above your heads.

A cacophony of roaring, snarling and hissing sound effects and robotic moving body parts make this a terrifying, but surprisingly realistic and enjoyable experience for the whole family.

This event is as educational as it is entertaining and can make a perfect day out for both children and adults.

Test your dinosaur knowledge when encountering less familiar dinosaur species such as the Protoceratops perhaps, or the large marine Plesiosaurus, Tsintaosaurus, Yunnanosaurus, or Lufengosaurus.

Each dinosaur installation will have an educational information panel offering visitors interesting facts and figures to read through as they study the creature.

Jurassic Encounter promises to offer visitors a unique

and amazing day out, when

it’s made possible to encounter dinosaurs of all shapes and sizes from the Jurassic, Triassic and Cretaceous periods as they peer down at you from a great height.

And for those who want to take time to recover and relax after walking the perilous path through the dinosaurs’ domain, there will be a refreshment area offering a variety of street food.

This will include favourites such as traditional Spanish churros, steak sandwiches, burgers, crepes and waffles, along with noodles and other pop-up food offerings to suit most palates.

Naz Kabir, a spokesperson for the Jurassic Encounter, said: “Dinosaurs have always captured the imagination of children and adults alike, and Jurassic Encounter will be a fantastic, interactive way to learn more about these fascinating creatures.

“We can’t wait to welcome our guests - and our prehistoric visitors - to outdoor parks up and down the UK this year.”

The tour begins at Grovelands Park in London at the start of the summer holidays (every day from July 24 to August 10), before moving to Birmingham Botanical Gardens (August 21 to September 5), Glasgow Cuningar Loop (October 2 to 17) and Leeds Roundhay Park (October 23 to November 7).

Ticket prices start at £11.50 and advanced booking is advised, although walkups will be admitted on the dates given, subject to availability.

For those who want to be sure of securing their place among the dinosaurs this summer, a special, early-bird discount is now available by entering the code EARLYBIRD20 at the checkout before the end of May 2021.
