The England players united the country

-

I would like to praise Gareth Southgate, and his staff, and the squad of England players. Who did fantastic throughout the Euros, managing to get through to the final and only just missing out on penalties.

It was a cruel way to lose the final of a major tournament.

Really enjoyed the whole tournament, watching some entertaining, exciting games, especially England's victorious run to the final – beating Germany 2-0 then in the quarter-finals hammering Ukraine before a close game in the semifinals beating Denmark 2-1.

In narrowly getting beat by Italy, may I say they fouled our lads at every given opportunity – without the Dutch referee sending any of them off!

But you have to praise our lads for rising above that, and not retaliating.

I really think our squad can do well in the World Cup next year!

This tournament has turned them from boys into men, and the experience will put them in good stead for next year.

The racists who tried to ruin the tournament, after the final, abusing the black players in our squad deserve no place in football. They need to crawl back down the nearest sewer from where they came from!

I could not believe Prime Minister Boris Johnson hypocritically condemning the racist scum.

This after abusing

Asian women who wear the Burka, calling them "letterboxes". Also abusing people in Africa, calling them "Piccaninnies" and "Watermelon smiles". Hypocrite comes to mind!

But again, the whole of the country should praise our England players, who have really helped put a smile back on people's faces after this horrendous pandemic.

Thanks lads for doing your best, and uniting the whole country.
