Masters of the Universe: Revelation Netflix, July 21

Action-packed animated series that picks up where the be-muscled iconic characters left off decades ago. Forget the cheesy Eighties cartoon: this has Mark Hamill as Skeletor and Chris Wood as He Man, alongside a cast that includes Sarah Michelle Gellar, Lena Headey and Liam Cunningham.

Turner & Hooch Disney+, July 21

Tom Hanks scored a massive hit in 1989, playing a tightly wound cop who took on a slobbering pooch after its owner was brutally murdered. Spool forward a couple of decades and we hit this perky series, starring Josh Peck as Scott Turner, son of Hanks’ detective. He’s an ambitious, buttoned-up US Marshal.

Gameshow. The premise is to test whether a singleton could fall for someone based on personalit­y alone, so their three prospectiv­e dates are given masks to hide their features. Forget your elegant Italian porcelain jobs – the wannabe lovers in this bonkers offering are given animal prosthetic­s.

Stuntman Disney+, July 23

This film, executivep­roduced by Dwayne Johnson, won the 2018 LA Film Festival’s Audience Award Choice winner for Best Documentar­y Feature – and no wonder. It chronicles the highs and lows of veteran Hollywood stuntman Eddie Braun as he attempts what many argue is the most dangerous stunt in cinematic history.

Troll Hunters: Rise of the Titans Netflix, July 21

Following the events of the Tales of Arcadia trilogy, the beloved characters from this fantastic universe must band together to protect humanity from the evil Arcane Order, who wield their dark magic to summon ancient titans that threaten to destroy the world.
