Chance to have your say on policing issues
The Police and Crime Commissioner for County Durham, Joy Allen, is launching a survey for people to have their say about local policing issues.
TheCommissionerisasking residents, businesses, community, and voluntary sectororganisationstoshare their views as she begins to develop a new Police and Crime Plan for the force area.
The final plan will set out the policing and crime priorities for the area over the next three years.
CommissionerAllensaid: “Throughout my campaign, I spent a lot of time reaching out and listening to the people of County Durham and Darlington on their priorities when it comes to local policing.
“From these discussions as well as the crime survey I conducted last year, several priorityareasemergedwhich
I have captured in my Police and Crime Plan.
"These include issues like anti-social behaviour, road safety and drug use and dealing.”
She added: “Six broad themes are covered in the plan – safer communities, people, online, roads, countryside and business.
“I am keen to hear ideas and any local concerns about community safety and ways we can improve our approachwiththeforce and it’s partners. “I would be grateful to residents, business owners, community and voluntary sector organisations across CountyDurhamandDarlington to take the time to complete my survey and have your say on what matters most in your community.”
