Since 2005, Come Dine With Me has given us no end of awkward dinner interactions. The award-winning reality series hasn’t been on our screen for a year, mainly due to Covid restrictions, but he series returns for a new series this week, with five contestants from in and around Basingstoke.

The ninth series of the real-life treasure hunt with Fiona Bruce and Philip Mould continues.

Tonight, they are investigating a small oil painting of a man praying in a mosque, believed to be the work of Jean-Leon Gerome.

In the second summer special, the jovial host welcomes three more contestants to take on a colossal spinning wheel and attempt to answer their way to a fortune. Along the way, the quizzers will be helped (or hindered) by seven celebrity ‘experts’. Best gameshow ever...

Rolling Stones: Rock n’ Roll Circus Sky Arts, Sat, 9pm

A rare chance to see footage from the starstudded 1968 rock concert performed in a Wembley TV studio that was turned into a circus for the occasion. The show features songs by The Who, Marianne Faithfull, Taj Mahal and Jethro Tull and , of course, The Stones.
