Durham duo Trevaskis & Jones pen new deals
Michael Jones and Liam Trevaskis have both signed two-year deals with Durham Cricket Club.
Jones, 23, puts pen to paper on his first professional deal having joined the club in 2017 as an Academy player.
Liam Trevaskis has also committed to a further two years at Emirates Riverside where has become a vital member of Durham’s white ball squad since making his Durham debut in 2017.
The slow left arm bowler has gone on to take 55 wickets across all formats which includes his career best 4/16 against Lancashire in the Vitality Blast.
ToporderbatsmanMichael Jones has made 11 first-class appearances for Durham following his debut against Derbyshire in 2017, scoring his career best last season with 82 against Nottinghamshire at Trent Bridge and 81 against Glamorgan this summer at Emirates Riverside.
Trevaskis said: “I’m excited to have signed a new contract with Durham and I am looking forward to what the next few years holds with this group of players.”
Jones added: “I am buzzing to sign this deal with Durham, it’s been a long time coming. I have settled down here in the North East and have got to know all the lads really well. I feel like I have settled into the team in red ball, it was an absolute no brainer to sign and I am really happy to be here for the next few years.”
