Tributes paid to much loved teacher Elizabeth Graham, who taught Sunderland how to swim.

Kim Jones: Lovely bubbly lady who taught my children at Monkwearmo­uth and Newcastle Road baths. She used wait for her lift outside my house we had many a chat and laugh.

Kelly McGill: An amazing, funny lady always made me laugh in swimming for all the years she taught us. You will be a huge miss to everyone Mrs Graham.

Tracey Graham: I had the pleasure to work with Liz, an exceptiona­l swimming teacher and a lovely lady, sadly missed.

Marie Watson: Fantastic teacher and a lovely lady with a great sense of humour.

Amber Pope: A brilliant swimming teacher and an overall lovely woman.

Mand Oneill: Best swimming teacher ever. Such a wonderful woman with so much patience and a heart of absolute gold.

Christophe­r Hogg: If you talk you do not swim !!!!!

Andrew Hagen Jnr: Remember when I was a kid at Farringdon swimming baths and she taught me everything about swimming absolute delight to have been taught by you Mrs Graham!

Guy Roulstone: So sad to hear this. Mrs Graham was a lovely teacher. Always very warm and friendly with the students, even when there was mischief in the pool.

Joe Rogerson: So sad to hear, Liz was a lovely lady I used to take the lads from Thorndale every Wednesday night there. Liz was so funny, a great person and always profession­al, everyone enjoyed themselves.
