Silksworth CW manager Jamie Cole wants his players to show their ruthless side when they host Richmond Town this weekend.

The Silksworth boss has a near full-strength squad available as his players go looking for a first win in four games in all competitions against an unpredictable Richmond side.

Cole wants his players to be more clinical in front of goal after struggling to take chances throughout an underwhelming spell of recent form.

He told The Echo :“We have a strong squad available for the game and I can’t remember the last time I had that choice.

“It’s a home game against Richmond and we just want to take the work-rate we have shown recently and look for some better finishing.

“It’s always a tricky game against them, so we will need to beat our very best or we will get punished.”

Joe Jones is the only absentee from the Silks worth squad as he serves a suspension.

Stuart Cameron and James Marriner return to the Washington United squad for their visit to Ann field Plain and bottom of the table Cox hoe Athletic are without Adam Drysda le, Chris Spence, Jacob Dalglish and Sam Nugent for their home game against Chesterle-Street United.

D arlington Town could top the Wearside League table by Saturday evening if they can

claim three points in their home game against struggling Norton and Stockton Ancients.

FC Hartlepool provide the opponents for Farringdon Detached as Liam Lay’s fullstrength squad look to continue their progress in the Monkwearmouth Charity Cup.

It is just under a month since the two sides met in the league as a late equaliser earned Farringdon a draw at Grayfields - and they will be hoping for an improved performance in this weekend’s round two tie at Leyburn Grove.

Elsewhere on Saturday, midfielder Matthew Smith will miss Durham Corinthians’ Alan Hood Charity Cup preliminary round tie at Windscale as he continues his recovery from an achilles injury.
