Plea to wear a face-mask on the Metro once again as Covid-19 cases rise.

Wendy Newton: They need to enforce their condition of carriage and refuse travel if not wearing.

Peter Ross: No thanks.

Amanda Graham: I always wear mine.

Les Hodgson: Hands face and space rule was the best thing started last year. Remember that’s when we had lower cases and a day without any death on June 30th. I still carry mine to wear in enclosed places, not just to protect others, but for other’s droplets to hit my mask instead of my nose/mouth. Maybe that’s why I’ve never had a cold since.

Stuart Bate Don't wear mine and won't wear mine unless it becomes law again.

David Owen: Is there any data showing transmission rates linked back to the metro? And did the mask mandate reduce it previously?

Graeme Collinson: you still eat and drink with your mask around your chin tho?

Philip Pescod: They have never worked, how is it some people living in the same house as someone with covid yet they never catch it?

Les Hodgson: Some people have natural high immunity than others.

Festival of Light completely sold out after more than 70,000 tickets are snapped up.

Claire Louise Barker:

I understand that they charge, but why not do it on the gate like they used to? Doing it for limited numbers? Don’t think so, as you can enter at your allotted time but spend as long as you want in there. So at any point while you’re there, there could be hundreds of people in there walking around. Get it back to pay on the gate, and just book an allotted time to get there for like they did a few years ago.

Chris Roberts: It’s been phenomenal, the lights are amazing and it’s great to see so many people and families around the area. I haven’t had a single issue with parking either.
