Angels Of The North, BBC iPlayer from Sunday October 31

Welcome back to Longlox, home to Sammyjo, her mamager

Bev and their team of young, funny, talented and ambitious hair experts fopr a new eight-part series.

The third series of Angels of the North, a real-life workplace based reality series in the North East, is bigger and better than ever before.

As well as following Sammyjo and her team of hair technicians at Longlox, this series has branched out, and now viewers will get the chance to meet the stylists’ friends and boyfriends who are part of other successful businesses in the region.

Viewers will be taken behind the scenes at Pure Ink 3, a tattoo and piercing studio in Newcastle city centre. Business is booming thanks to the high standards of its young boss Shane Guttridge, who has also been a friend of Sammyjo’s since the pair were children. Then it’s across to Jarrow to Bilton Hall ABC Boxing club run by boxing coach Callum Larson who has a passion for helping young people punch their way to the top. Among the young boxers is the boyfriend of one of the stylists at Longlox salon. Ewan is in a relationship with hair extensionist Kallie and is hoping to turn pro.

Filmed across the summer in three distinct North East locations, viewers will see familiar stories of workplace banter and ambition as these young people make their way in the world. Expect big hair, big tattoos and big personalities, as well as lots of drama and tears, but not without the usual Geordie humour and love along the way.
