LEE BURGE

Early error cost Sunderland dear. Did not have a great deal to do after that. 4

FREDERIK ALVES

Could have shown a touch more drive in possession, but was neat and did show for the ball. 5

TOM FLANAGAN

Looked sluggish throughout the first half. 5

BAILEY WRIGHT

Played one or two dangerous passes in the second half that almost led to a threatening break. Distribution was erratic. 5

DENNIS CIRKIN

Showed willingness to try to play and break forward, but did not quite get the breaks. 5

CORRY EVANS

Missed good chance late on, but did not have a great deal of impact on the game. 5

DAN NEIL

Went closer than anyone, with one half volley just after the break flying just wide and another in stoppage time crashing off the crossbar. Moved the ball quicker than most. 6

LEON DAJAKU

Produced Sunderland’s only moment of quality in the first half when he burst past his full back and stood up a good cross to the middle of the box. Half rather passed him by otherwise. 4

ELLIOT EMBLETON

Looked wasted on the left through the opening stages, but did not contribute a great deal when moved infield. 4

AIDEN O’BRIEN

Covered plenty of ground, but never really got on the ball in dangerous areas and lacked composure too often. 4 NATHAN BROADHEAD Showed a good work-rate and made a lot of dangerous runs into the channel, but service was poor. 5

ALEX PRITCHARD

For Dajaku, 45: Tried to play some passes to open the game up but impact on the whole was modest. 5

LYNDEN GOOCH

For O’Brien, 45: One good pass inside almost yielded a goal shortly after his introduction, but overall did little to trouble the Mansfield defence. 5
