In this survival horror game. you explore the ominous Mount Hikami,aplacewheremanycametodie. Armed with just a torch and camera, you destroy ghosts by framing shots in certain ways. Once defeated, you can touch the spirits and see how they died. The game forces you to re-explore the same set of areas, with new items and parts added each time. There are plenty ofscarymoments,thoughthestory could be better developed. 7/10

FirstlaunchedasaVRgameand now adapted for the traditional screen, this is a fan-must, even if the gameplay is so-so. You are companion to the Doctor, voiced byJodieWhittaker(andanappearance from David Tennant), taking on famous favourites including Daleks, Weeping Angels and Cybermen. The problem is the controlsareabitiffyandthechallenges just are not all that, well, challenging. 6/10

This gorgeously retro turn-based adventureplacesyouasanaspiring young film-maker, who embarks on weird and wonderful battles with an array of imagination-pushing foes, from raccoons to huge scrapyard monsters. Each battle earns you money, which allows you to progress, while you will also completequestsforcomicbooks.It is a straightforward adventure but combat scenes can feel a bit drawn out and repetitive. 7/10

As members of a family of lorehunting mystics, you and your cousin separately wander the land following rumours of occult power in this rogue-like first person shooter. When you find a demonic pit in a nearby cursed village, your cousin’s letters grow silent. You are faced with a fastmoving set of battles, with spells as your weapon. The game has a great look and feel to it but lacks variety. 6/10
