Air ambulance bids for flying start to Christmas
The Great North Air Ambulance Service (GNAAS) is getting into the festive spirit by hosting luxury wreath-making workshops to help keep their life-saving service flying.
The charity is holding the event at their main office – near Eaglescliffe – which houses both the charity staff and the critical care team and the workshops will be guided by GNAAS supporter and expert florist Helen Jamieson of Fiori Flowers.
Each participant will be provided with all the materials to create a luxury wreath, along with a warming drink, canapes, and a goody bag to take away.
There will also be the chance to enter an exclusive raffle and win more festive goodies.
Helen said: “I am so pleased to be able to offer in-person workshops after Covid prevented them taking place last year.
"This is a great way to kickstart the Christmas festivities and also help a vital local charity continue to provide critical care across the region.” She added: “I’ll be giving easy-to-follow step-by-step instructions, so people don’t need any prior experience to get involved, and the materials provided will be fresh from the garden.”
A range of festive market stalls will also be available, offering local food, drink, crafts and produce to purchase.
The workshops are taking place on Sunday, with morning and afternoon sessions and tickets cost £49.50.will
For those unable to make it, luxury wreath-making kits are available to buy online for £35, which come with an instructional video.
