Singing gameshow back for a special on Christmas Eve

-

ICan See Your Voice, the addictive play-a-long singing game show, is back on the BBC for a funfilled festive special. Paddy McGuinness hosts and is joined by Celebrity Investigators, Jimmy Carr, Alison Hammond and Amanda Holden plus special guest Leona Lewis. The player hoping to win £10,000 is joined by Gabby Logan and together they will need to tell the difference between the good and bad mystery singers, without ever hearing them sing a note!

With seasonal lip sync songs and festive cheer, it’s the perfect game to play with the family this Christmas.

We caught up with Paddy McGuinness ...

CAN YOU TELL US ABOUT THE I CAN SEE YOU VOICE CHRISTMAS SPECIAL?

It’s a really fun Christmas show! We’ve got Leona Lewis on the show which for me is the best thing ever because her voice is so powerful and she’s so lovely! I think of her at Christmas time because she released a Christmas song and her voice reminds me of Mariah Carey’s and Mariah sang All I Want

For

Christmas Is You. All the mystery singers are dressed up in Christmas themed outfits, so that’s lovely. Gabby Logan is also helping our contestant Dev and he’s a fan of hers, so that’s a great surprise. And because it’s Christmas... we all lip sync at the top of the show - me, Jimmy, Amanda and Alison!

WHAT’S YOUR FAVOURITE CHRISTMAS SONG?

All I Want For Christmas Is You by Mariah Carey, that’s the number one song for me.

WHAT’S YOUR FAVOURITE THING ABOUT CHRISTMAS?

You know when people say they are going abroad for Christmas to the beach, well I like the cold! I like cold, dark nights, sat in with family, turkey, telly on lovely! That’s my favourite thing about it. Just spending time at home.

ARE THERE ANY FILMS YOU WATCH EVERY YEAR?

I’m more of a TV person at Christmas. I love a Christmas TV special like The Royle Family or Only Fools and Horses, anything like that I love.

I Can See Your Voice is on Christmas Eve at 9.30pm on BBC One.
