Sunderland West End manager Steven Stewart revealed his side are full of confidence after their 3-0 win at Brandon United.

West End made the perfect start when Lewis Charlton fired them ahead with just a minute on the clock. Their cause was not helped by Brad Forster’s dismissal just after the half-hour mark - but second-half goals from Alex Herring and Cameron Old eased their side to all three points.

After the game, Stewart said: “We started well, and it was a red card so we can’t complain. We were on top at half-time, I asked them to keep doing what they were doing and we got the two breakaway goals.

“It’s takes us into Friday’s game high and it’s a big game against Easington, but we are full of confidence.”
