Council tax bills set to rise in Sunderland, but free pest control scheme expected to stay.

Tracey Platt: What a joke! Tried to get a pest control appointment since Christmas! Would rather pay the £50 and at least they show up!

Jo Drummond: Why don’t people just move to the surrounding boroughs who are also putting their taxes up and are already higher than ours. No one wants to pay more but we have much lower costs than South Shields as our council kept the original banding whereas other councils reassessed them meaning people paid more.

Kathy Haq: Do you think that Sunak was actually going to give us anything like. He's paying the Energy Companies £200 per property on our behalf but we have to pay it as well.

Jim Bogie: Social care element should be removed now that it's an extra addition to National Insurance, can't have it both ways!

Peter Richardson: Thought every one was getting a £150 rebate due to high fuel prices
