Which areas of Sunderland do you think are most in need of a spring clean?

Alysa Mills: Anywhere in Washington, as it gets neglected by Sunderland Council, volunteers can only do so much, paths, roads, parks!

Mandy Kerr: Millfield especially the bottom of Hylton Road it's an eyesore riddled with rubbish and junk.

Louise Marrin: Streets are littered because people drop it. People who think that is ok and someone else’s job to do what they should have, and put it in a bin. Take responsibility. Have some pride. Think of others.

Ann Murtha: Blandford Street and Holmeside, it's about time the council took a look around the town and other eyesores and made Sunderland something to be proud of.

Claire Alder: Washington without a doubt. We pay council tax too and get nothing!

Philip Wardle: The entire Sunderland area. Starting with people not dropping litter ever, people taking pride in their gardens, people never dropping cigarette ends or chewing gum. Starting with some Civic Pride and respect for fellow residents. We can all play our part.

Teresa Snaith: We need to start with a lot more litter bins.

Heleb Cowan: Whole of Washington has just been left to rack and ruin. Never see a litter picker or road sweeper.

Mary Pascal: City Centre, not even a great town centre. Why did we get city status and people still go to Newcastle to shop?

Ashleigh Defty:

Everywhere, wherever you look there’s cracked pavement slabs, bent metal railings, chewy all over floor, rubbish all over. Surely the council should take some pride in the city.

Jill Tatters: Ryhope colliery all needs a face lift I feel like we have been forgotten about, and Ryhope beach.

Emma Batty : I think Hylton Castle Dene could do with a clean up.

Estelle Fenwick: Town centre, it’s a dump!
