Silksworth CW manager Jamie Cole is reeling from a major injury blow as his side prepare to host Windscale on Saturday in their Wearside League clash.

The two sides are sat in fifth and sixth place in the Wearside League table, but Cole remains determined to break into top four before the end of the season.

The game will kick off the final week of the campaign for Silksworth, with the meeting with the Cumbrians followed by a midweek home game against Wolviston, and next weekend’s visit to Norton and Stockton Ancients.

Cole will head into that trio of fixtures without key defender Josh Perry – but wants to shake off that blow and finish the season on a high.

He told The Echo: “Josh Perry is missing and that is a big blow for us because he has been a rock at the back this season.

“We are going into our final three games starting with Windscale on Saturday and we know that should be a good game.

“I want us to finish the season on a high and I still believe we can sneak into fourth place.”

Farringdon Detached’s will be confident they can boost their claim for a top six place when they host bottom of the table Coxhoe Athletic.

Two sides in the top four meet at New Ferens Park as Darlington Town look to

gain revenge for their Durham Trophy Final defeat against Durham Corinthians.

League leaders Chesterle-Street United are the

visitors to Wolviston and in-form Gateshead Leam Rangers will hope to continue their own league title push when they host Richmond Town.

Midfielder Joseph King will miss West Auckland Tunns’ visit to Shildon Reserves as he completes a two-match ban for the red card in the recent 1-1 home draw with Norton and Stockton Ancients.

Two sides sat in the lower half of the table meet at Greyfields as FC Hartlepool host Washington United and

Darlington RA will hope to climb away from the bottom two when they visit an Annfield Plain side that have conceded 50 goals in their last six games.
