ANTHONY PATTERSON
Little he could do about either goal and it was almost another stunning save to deny Flanagan’s equaliser at close range. 6
CARL WINCHESTER
Guilty of being a touch sloppy in possession at times even if for the main he defended well. 5
BAILEY WRIGHT
Steady defensively and won the bulk of his duels against Bowman. 6
DENNIS CIRKIN
Started the game really well and played his part in the second goal. Stepped out in possession well for most of the game. 6
LYNDEN GOOCH
Got into some promising areas but couldn’t find the end product, with one first-half effort flashing just wide of the far post. 5
JAY MATETE
Started very brightly, breaking up play well and moving the ball quickly. Like most, his influence waned as Shrewsbury grew into the game. 6
LUKE O’NIEN
Plenty of energy and made some good runs beyond the strikers late on without reward. Didn’t have a major impact in possession. 5
JACK CLARKE
Had been a constant threat down the left throughout without finding the final ball, that is until he swung in an inch-perfect cross for Broadhead with seconds left on the clock. 7
ELLIOT EMBLETON
Scored a stunning goal in the early moments of the game and was the best player on the pitch through the first half in a deeper midfield role. Was withdrawn on the hour mark after Shrewsbury’s equaliser as Neil brought Evans on in search of more defensive stability. 7
NATHAN BROADHEAD
Had no right to beat his defender to that last-gasp header and it was another superb, crucial goal. His first was an equally good finish. 8
ROSS STEWART
Really unlucky not to get on the scoresheet as his movement and link-up play was strong throughout. 7
