What are the best places to shop in Sunderland?

Karen Klein: Best places to shop in Sunderland!! Time travel back to Binns, Joplings, Liverpool House, Louis, Maws Pies, Joseph’s, Hills, Books Fashions to name but a few. Your Saturday was rammed and the town with its beautiful Town Hall was full of buzz and life.

Jean Paxton: Shopping in Sunderland is terrible.

Stacey Krager: Probably Sainsbury's and Asda as we have little to few clothes shops anymore!

Shirley Longley: Nowhere in the town centre.

Stephen Clark: The Galleries at Washington. We've only got charity shops and Greggs in Sunderland.

Rob Francis: From my last visit, save for a few outliers like Master Debonair on Mackies’ Corner, the only part of Sunderland with any kind of interesting retail is the Bridges and the area round Park Lane.

Julie Carr: TK Maxx is only half decent shop left with a bit of variety. Bring back good stores before it's too late.

Ann Murtha: Save your energy no good places in Sunderland, all the best shops like the Strand, Woollies and C&A are all gone.

Lisa Lane: It’s such a shame we have nothing compared to Newcastle or the Metro Centre.

Denise Tait: What about the nice shops on Mackies Corner, they’ve made a real effort!

Sharon Steel: People in Sunderland have to shop elsewhere out of Sunderland because our town centre is derelict.

Janice Richardson: Bou-Chique on Mackies Corner is the only decent shop I go to.

Deborah McGuigan: Nowhere to shop. Primark is probably Sunderland’s busiest shop!

Jean Dixon: What shops nothing worth coming to Sunderland for.
