How would you like to see the Government intervene to ease the cost of living crisis?

Neil Underwood: Windfall tax on the additional profits the energy companies are making, and using the money to increase the income of low income families. And return the domestic power companies to public ownership and put a price cap on fuel, at what it was last October! The Government would still be making large profits.

Ann Carrick: It's the same globally, which other country paid staff to stay at home during the pandemic I wonder. Lots of self employed claiming and still working for cash in hand. No wonder the country is in massive debt.

Stuart Oliver: People just need to learn how to budget.

Judy Stead: Stop giving so much money away, stop hotel bills for illegals, stop giving them money put them on a boat back, stop paying France.

Mark Davies: Rejoin EU, windfall tax on gas and oil companies, get rid of newspapers, and quit, never to return.

Matthew Knowles: Get out of the way, reduce taxes, cut government both local and national to a reasonable size and make the NHS operate in a remotely efficient manner.

Paul Webster: Possibly by not wasting £37billion on a test and trace system that didn’t work.

Fred Davies: Wages are too low nationally we are taxed far too much.

Jordan Embleton: For a full month put every government official on the same amount of money, freeze all their bank accounts so they can’t access the money and see how they get on.

Elaine Smith: They can't ease it, it's not just our country suffering it is a world wide problem.

James Farn: Get rid of the green tax on gas and electric bills. Reduce the duty of petrol and diesel and reduce VAT.

Che Norton: Get the energy companies to pay their fair share of tax out of their £billions of profit. Hit the shareholders instead of the consumer..
